2008 ICA Changes
Feb, 9th, 2008 Important 2008 Changes: Please Read: :drink 1st Tournament - March 29th - Ohio River - Vevay - Riverfront Park - Day We would like to welcome James Halcomb as our new VP and George LeMaster as the new Tournament Director. We held our 2008 business annual meeting on Feb. 2nd at Gander Mountain in Terre Haute. There weren't a lot of changes to the rules and points but there was one major change. The entry fee for tournaments has been lowered to $60.00 per tournament per boat which includes the big fish pot. This is a 40% decrease. This was done so that we may increase tournament participation. With the economy the way it is and gas prices expected to soar, we thought it best to lower the entry to make it financially possible for more people to attend. Because of the lower entry, the payout has also been revised to reflect the lower entry. In 2007 we averaged roughly 50+ members and 12 boats per tournament. In 2008, we hope to increase by 40%. This would mean roughly 70+ members and a 16 boat average per tournament. This is very posiible. in the past we have averaged as much as 23 boats per tournament and 196 members in a year and that was with a $60.00 entry back then. We need your help to achieve our goal. Go to the download section of our website and click on the 2008 flier. If we can get you to print out 5 copies of the flier and place them in your local bait shop, Walmart, Gander Mountain, Dicks Sporting Goods and anywhere people gather, we can definately make our goal. Please help. We are also trying to secure a booth at the Boat, Sport and Travel Show this month. We are currently in negotiations over the price. I will keep you informed on our progress.
