Benefit Tournament
Still putting things together but August 24 (Friday Night) There is going to be a benefit tournament with the proceeds going to Gleaners Food Bank to help rebuild the food supply they lost. Prelims has check in from 4pm till 7 pm with door prize drawings from 6pm to 6:30pm Meeting for rules at 6:30 pm and take off at 7 pm. Hours will be 7 pm till 1 am. This is going to be a taped event for NATIONAL TV. As I learn more I will post it here.

Gander Mountain Looks to be going to be one of the major sponsors for this.

Where is going to be Ron?..... :idea: Maybe we should think about cancelling the open to help promote this great cause.. :mrgreen:

This is going to take place at Geist Res. I don't know if we have enough time to cancel but They do want our help and use of scales and accually run the tournament.

If we decide to cancel, we are still 3 weeks out. That shouldn't be a problem....

I will try and have fliers at the Williams Dam tournament. Hopefully they are being put together and everything will be ready. If you know of anyone or a company that want to donate to Gleaners they can make the check out to Gleaners and you can bring it to the tournament and we will do a mention for the show. If they want to donate cash or prizes to the tournament have them contact me at 317-377-0257. Any other questions call or email me or post it here. Spoke with the people at the ramp and was told that they will not shut down the ramp unless the police shut it down. They do have a low water sign up so just watch for stuff that may be sticking up or shallow water areas being larger than before.

Geist has a low water warning sign up. AND a Danger sign warning joy boaters of algea. Don't ingest the water!

They say ONE FISH PER PERSON TOTAL WEIGHT. So a team can weigh in two fish. We want this to be a tournament not a single big fish tournament so come ready to fish and with the HOT weather I think that 2 fish will be plenty to keep alive. Lets get out and support Gleaners Food Bank and give them a Great Big Fish Con-*test*-('").

Trophies have now been added. There are alot of other prizes that we did not have time to list. Lets make this a GREAT start to hopefully an event that will become annual and help a GREAT Cause. Thanks and see ya at the ramp on FRIDAY.

Hope to see ya all there. We have alot of door prizes, trophies, and cash prizes to 1st, 2nd, & 3rd. This will be 2 fish per boat. Follow all state and local laws. Make shure you have your fishing license. We will start checking in boats at 4:00 pm and Take off at 7:00.
