Cabela's Classic Qualifying Changes
Hello Everyone, For those who have not heard....Cabela's has changed the King Kat Classic qualifying rules. Starting this year, in addition to qualifying through a club event, each person/team must also enter at least one regional Cabela's King Kat tournament. If you don't want to fish, you can still pay the $200.00 entry fee and secure your Classic qualification. They said at the Classic that boat takeoff numbers will still be in the order that entries are received (under the assumption that the team will fish the required King Kat regional). Those who don't will be eliminated. All of our 2007 qualifiers were submitted to Cabela's last fall, so watch your mail for a Classic entry form. There are 2 King Kat regional events close by: 1. 4/26/08--Henderson, KY 2. 9/13/08--Madison, IN The 2008 Classic will be 9/26-9/27/08 at Henderson, KY. So, in short, the King Kat Classic entry fee just went up $200.00 (but at least we'll save that much in gas $ this year since its close and we can justify fishing yet another tournament to our understanding wives).
