ICA Vincennes May 17th cancelled
Due to extremely high water levels, The ICA has cancelled the Vincennes Tournament on May 17th. :cry: We will be rescheduling this tournament. We apologize for the short notice but this weeks rains made the river swell out of it's banks.....

Don't see how it can be resheduled this late. The schedule is set at the beginning of the year and people make plans around that. If it is canncelled ot os canncelled and that is final. We just go one short . Nothing we could do about it. If another date is picked how are you going to make it work for everyone?

Ron, according to our by-laws, we have to hold 4 river and 4 reservoir tournaments. Unfortunately we can't control the weather so we must do what we need to do. It is what it is.....We apologoze for any inconvenience....

I don't seem to see where it says that we HAVE to fish 4 rivers & 4 Lakes. It says that we fish 4 rivers and 4 lakes but doesn't say that if an event is cancelled that it HAS to be rescheduled. WE can not control the weather but if we rescedule it should be put before everyone so that a schedule conflict can be avoided. I don't think anyone should have to loose points because they could not attend due to something they scheduled around the tournament shcedule that was set at the begining of the year.

Article X - Number 5 5) to determine the schedule for all events ensuring that 4 will be held on rivers, and 4 will be held on reservoirs and to have said schedule turned into the secretary by Dec. 1st. The president made contact with 4 of the 5 officers and it was determined to reschedule..... :mrgreen:

If we are not just going to leave it cancelled then we only have a few options. We already have 2 tournaments in June so the best date would be September 6 & 7 since we don't have a tournament in Sept except for Cabelas which most members don't plan on fishing. Other dates are July 12 & 13 August 9 & 10 August 23 & 24 or October 4 & 5 These are the only dates that keep everything spaced out. I think these dates sould be put before the members and let them decide.

Goose hunting in Sept., Deer hunting in Oct.....my vote is for July or August.
