New boat ramp on white river
Last night a guy told me the DNR was building a ramp on the river in Paragon. I have been hearing this for some time ( a year or two) and thought it was just a rumor. As it turns out they are already under construction. The road parking lot and ramp are graveled. Their equipment is still there and i hope this means concrete? Paragon is just south of Martinsville IN. It isn't open yet but i'll post as soon as i see it is.

It would be great if they put one at every site that could be fished from a boat. :???: :razz:

Thats a good sign...when I was down there in May, they didnt have that much done, so hopefully it is becoming a reality.

Just to update this...the ramp is ready.

I was there thursday and lanuched my boat. The DNR guy's and two CO's showed up to do some concrete work. The ramp is open but may be hit and miss till the parking lot is done. The CO's weren't there for concrete, some S.O.B's left their Meth crap in the parking lot. Bummer a catfisherman can't get away from the crackheads anywhere. :evil:

I WENT TO LOOK AT THE RAMP SUNDAY LOOKS PRETTY GOOD IT LLOKS TO HAVE A WHEEL CHAIR LOADING AREA TO LOAD HANDICAP PEOPLE INTO THE BOATS .
